Joel LaRue Smith, a talented pianist and Milton resident, will perform with his jazz trio at the Milton Public Library. Mr. Smith has been Director of Big Band & Jazz Studies at Tufts University since 1996 and has toured extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, Asia and the Caribbean.
Venues have included Carnegie Hall, The White House, and the Royal Albert Hall in London. His compositions incorporate Afro-Cuban rhythmic patterns, jazz harmonic music, and classical music.
This event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served. It is supported by The Friends of the Milton Public Library.
