M.A.D. ScrambleOne hundred and fifty-eight runners finished the M.A., Scramble, a 5.1 mile race that begins and ends at the Pierce School. It spins around Turner’s Pond, down School and up Canton Ave ( a hill that feels like it will never end), before finishing with a leg that takes runners by Pope”s Pond.

Due to the Independence Day Holiday, Trash will not be picked up on Thursday July 4, 2013. Thursday’s trash collection will be moved to Friday and Friday’s trash collection will be moved to Saturday.

Milton named one of top suburbs in Massachusetts

Milton has been named one of the top “booming suburbs” in Massachusetts.

According to a study of thousands of communities across the U.S. conducted by the real estate company Coldwell Banker as a part of its “Best Cities to Live In” survey, Milton was the 10th best economically “booming” suburban town in the state, just behind Wellesley and Natick. New Yard Waster collection schedule released

The Milton DPW has released the yard waste schedule which goes into effect July 1, 2013. The schedule has been mailed to all Milton households. You can also find it here. Note that Household Hazard Waste Disposal day is scheduled for 9/21/13.

Milton Library Offers Free Yoga Classes for Teens

In July, the Milton Library will offer a series of four yoga classes for area tweens and teens (ages 11-18). Classes will be held July 10, 17, 24, and 31 at 9:30 a.m. in the Keys Community Room at the library. Jill Pokaksi, DPT, will teach the series. Advance registration is required and teens must register for each class individually.
