Open House to meet Dan Cullinane, candidate for 12th Suffolk legislative seat

Carolyn Cahill is hosting a meet and greet with Dan Cullinane, candidate for the Massachusetts Representative from the 12th Suffolk district tonight, Thursday July 25th,from  7-8:30pm at 40 Essex. The 12th district includes Precincts 1 & 2 in Milton. Wine and Cheese will be served.  All interested precinct 1 &2 residents are invited meet Dan and learn about him and the reasons why he wants to represent the 12th.

The following information was taken from the Milton police log. Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

Tuesday, July 16
Theft: At 11 a.m., police received a report of a theft on Brush Hill Road. A landscaping company had left tools and equipment in a trailer parked in front of a home. While working on other homes in the vicinity, employees noticed a leaf blower valued at $500 and a weed whacker valued at $300 to $500 had been taken. (Read the full story here.)

Dead man found in water near Milton yacht club

Milton police last weekend retrieved the body of a man believed to be an Irish citizen floating in the Neponset River near the Neponset Valley Yacht Club, not far from the Granite Avenue bridge. (Read the full story here.)

New timeframe for I93 & I95 interchange project under consideration

Senator Joyce endorses Dan Cullinane for 12th Suffolk seat

Do you know who Dan Cullinane is?

You should if you live in Precincts 1 or 2. He may be your next representative in the Massachusetts legislature. Cullinane is one of three Democrats running for 12th Suffolk State Representative. The other two are Marydith Tuitt and Stephanie Everett. Last night in a crowded American Legion Post on Blue Hill Avenue Cullinane received two endorsements; one from Suffolk County Sherriff Steve Tomkins and the other from State Senator Brian A. Joyce, a MIlton Precinct 2 resident.

Restaurant manager from Milton helped feed first responders

City Table restaurant general manager Brendan Griffin of Milton was all smiles. It was marathon-day in Boston, the region’s unofficial start of spring, and the restaurant at the Lenox Hotel was packed with diners who, between bites of food and sips of drinks, glanced up at the big screen TV to watch the marathon. Milton Library Teen Book Club Announces August Selection

The Milton Public Library’s teen book club has selected Partials by Dan Wells as its August pick. A post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller in the tradition of The Hunger Games, Partials follows16-year-old medic Kira and her friends on a quest to catch a Partial – the genetically engineered life form that caused the RM epidemic that killed most of humanity.
