On August 6 at 6:30 p.m., the Milton Public Library is offering a free comic book workshop for teens with comic artists Andy and Veronica Fish. Did you know that jazz, rock and roll, and the comic book are the only art forms created in the United States? This workshop will cover a brief history of comics and then feature a hands-on how-to workshop demonstration storytelling tips and techniques.
Andy studied art at The School of Visual Arts in New York City and Rhode Island School of Design and also attended Clark University School at the Worcester Art Museum and Worcester State College. He currently teaches youth and adult art programs at the Higgins Education Wing of the Worcester Art Museum as well as at Emerson College in Boston. Veronica was educated at the School of Visual Arts in New York and the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. She continues to work as a freelance illustrator and designer. Her work has been featured in many publications and gallery shows in Massachusetts, New York, and Los Angeles.
