The DCR is hosting a mountain bike and hike holiday toy drive in the Blue Hills Reservation, Milton MA on Sunday, December 5, 2010

Talk: Islam in America
The First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church is presenting a lecture titled Islam in America by Dr. Faisal Khan, a Milton physician.
The talk, which will be on December 8th, is open to the public and part of the church’s Common Hearth series of monthly lectures on various topics.

The East Congregational Church will be holding a “Blue” Christmas service, a simple service designed for those who have difficulty embracing the excitement and heightened celebrant joy of the season due to the experience of loss over the past years.
Boy Scouts launch wreath sale
If you need a wreath, the boy scouts can supply it. They are selling wreaths today and next week end at two locations: the Gas Station, 940 Canton Ave., Cunningham Park along Edgehill Road and at St. Mary’s of the Hills Church from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Award winning writer, Joan Leegant, to speak at Temple Shalom
Temple Shalom Speaker series to feature author Joan Leegant, author of the novel Wherever You Go, published in July 2010, and a collection of stories called An Hour in Paradise. This collection won the Penn/New England Book Award, the Wallant Award for Jewish Fiction, and was a finalist for the National Jewish Book Award.
