On July 17th at 6 p.m., the Milton Public Library is offering a free comic book workshop for teens with comic artists Andy and Veronica Fish. Did you know that jazz, rock and roll, and the comic book are the only art forms created in the United States?

Blood drive @ Milton Hospital – Give!
Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital- Milton and The American Red Cross are holding a blood drive to support the community blood supply for patients in need. Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood, and every pint donated could save up to three lives.
Vincent Crotty among Plein Aire artists participating in Forbes House Paint Out Sale
Visual artists and art collectors are invited to attend the first annual Paint Out & Wet Paint Sale at Forbes House Museum on Saturday, 23 June.
Beginning at 9am, artists from across New England will create landscape paintings on Milton Hill, including Governor Hutchinson’s Field, the Neponset River Marshes and Boston Harbor in the distance.

Library Director Search: Public focus groups
The Search Committee for the new Library Director is holding 3 focus groups to invite community input. The sessions will take place: Tuesday, June 19th from 7-8 p.m., Friday, June 22nd from 10-11 a.m. and Saturday, June 23rd from 10-11 a.m.
Family Fun Fest & Yard Sale
The First Congregational Church will be hosting their annual Family Fun Fest & Yard Sale on Juen 23rd from 10:00 – 2:00. There will over 40 vendors, family activities incuding a dunk tank, and live entertainment. Visit their web site for more information.

The 4th Annual M.A.D. Scramble Road Race is almost here!
MHS Crew Team to hold Ergathon @ Manning Park
The Milton High Schol Crew team which is entering its second season will bel holding a ergathon at the M. Joseph Manning Park in East Milton Square.
An ergathon is a competition on dry land using rowing machines. Student athletes will be competing on distance and time to raise funds for the spring season, raise awareness of this great sport, and share their enthusiasm for rowing with the community.
