The festive Jewish holiday of Purim will be celebrated at Temple Shalom of Milton this year with a Community Purim Celebration for all ages on Saturday evening, February 23rd, in the Great Hall of First Congregational Church, 495 Canton Avenue, Milton. Everyone is welcome.

Milton Public Library to Screen Classic Film Noir

On Thursday February 28th, the Milton Public Library will screen one of Humphrey Bogart’s lesser-known but critically acclaimed movies as part of its “Movie Masculinity” series. In A Lonely Place, a 1950 film noir starring Humphrey Bogart and Gloria Grahame, is celebrated today as a classic. Bogart plays Dix, a down-on-his-luck screenwriter with a bad temper. Falsely accused of murder, he is comforted and then flourishes under the influence of an aspiring actress (Grahame).

Milton girls in grades K-5, get your party dresses on, grab your dad, grandpa, best uncle, big brother or favorite neighbor and get ready to kick up your heels at the Sweetheart Dance on February 9th! Held from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m at Cunningham Hall, the dance is a fundraiser for Junior Girl Scout Troop 74134
Milton Library Hosts Financial Education Program for Teens
On Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 3:30 p.m., the Milton Public Library will host “Give Me Some Credit,” a financial education program for middle and high school students. Ms. Money’s “Give Me Some Credit!” is an educational, interactive game show designed to teach students about money, credit and interest.
