Impressionist-style Pastel Workshop for Adults

Learn easy pastel techniques and produce an Impressionistic-style painting. An adult workshop for beginning and advanced students, “Monet’s Mirror: How to Pastel Paint Monet’s Water Lilies,” will be led by award-winning artist Gregory John Maichack on Monday 3/4 @ 6:30PM.

On Saturday night MARCH 2nd, 7:30 p.m. at the newly re- opened Norwood Theater, a brilliant cast of singers and dancers will join local singer Pauline Wells as they kick off a celebration of Boston’s Irish heritage and the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday for 2013.

Democratic Caucus to elect delegates

The Milton democratic caucus to elect 20 delegates to the mass democratic state convention is re-scheduled for March 9th at the Milton public library 12:30. New date: Raising Your Own Backyard Chickens

HenryDue to the snow storm, the Wakefield Estate’s Backyard Chicken workshop has been rescheduled for this coming Saturday and there is still room for those who would like to attend. It will take place on February 16th from 9:00 – 11:30. It generally draws a “standing room only” crowd. Registration is required.

This program has been rescheduled (from Feb 9th) due to snow.

Susan Clare will discuss and demonstrate crafting with repurposed fabrics on Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the Keys Community Room (lower level) of The Milton Public Library, located at 476 Canton Avenue. “Sew-stainability” will highlight saving money, supporting sustainability, and making attractive and useful fabric items for personal use and as gifts.
