Milton July 4th Celebration scheduled for Kelly Field

Come celebrate America’s Independence at Kelly Field on, THURSDAY July 4, 2013, with field and relay races beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Ribbons will be awarded to all according to age and place of finish. There will be American flags for all, the Park Department will have their face painting expert on hand, the Milton Auxiliary Fire Department will be showcasing their vintage Fire Engine

Shamrock Swim Club Adult Swim Open House

Shamrock Swim Club will hold the last open house of the summer this Sunday, June 23 from 12-5 PM at the Egan Center located at 411 Unquity Rd. The first five people to sign up for a paid in full membership at the pool will receive a $100 discount.

Milton Library Screens The Perks of Being a Wallflower

On Tuesday, July 2 at 6:30 p.m., the Teen Services Department of the Milton Library will show The Perks of Being A Wallflower, a 2012 film based on the young adult novel of the same name. Perks follows shy Charlie through his freshman year of high school as he’s adopted by two seniors who introduce him to a new social scene and a whole new life outside of the school’s halls.

Library Plans Teen T-Shirt Craft

On Tuesday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m, teens are invited to the Milton Library for a t-shirt craft. Teens will use bleach and freezer paper to transform an old colored tee into something new. The library will provide the other supplies; teens are asked to bring an old shirt (not white) and plenty of creativity!

District representative for Congressman Lynch to hold office hours

Sarah Revell, District Representative for Congressman Stephen F. Lynch, will spend the afternoon of Wednesday, June 19th, meeting with constituents at Milton Town hall.

Residents of Milton who would like to discuss legislation before Congress, local issues or individual matters are encouraged to stop by on Wednesday anytime between 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Baker Conference room at Milton Town Hall.

Reminder: Milton meeting to discuss Logan air traffic impacts

All Milton residents are urged to attend an important town-wide meeting to discuss recent updates about flight paths over Milton and the proposed additional flight path on Thursday, June 13th at 7 pm in the Blute Meeting Room in Town Hall. The meeting was planned by concerned Milton residents who organized to address the issues of Logan air traffic over our town.

The Planning Board will be meeting in the Blute conference room at Town Hall on June 12th @ 6:30 to discuss the letter regarding the proposed Milton Mews 40B development.

The Planning Board will be meeting in the John Cronin conference room at Town Hall on June 13th @ 6:30. The agenda includes but is not limited to resuming the hearing on Coulter landscaping, a review of draft comments on Master Plan, and discussion of development at 591 Blue Hill Ave. The complete agendas of all upcoming town meetings can be found here.
