All Milton residents are urged to attend an important town-wide meeting to discuss recent updates about flight paths over Milton and the proposed additional flight path on Thursday, June 13th at 7 pm in the Blute Meeting Room in Town Hall. The meeting was planned by concerned Milton residents who organized to address the issues of Logan air traffic over our town.
A 2011 Massport Environmental Status and Planning Report (ESPR), shows Milton has seen an increasing burden of airline traffic over time. In January, the FAA announced plans for a new RNAV, or condensed flight corridor over parts of Milton, Randolph, and Canton. However, complaints of increased air traffic by Milton residents since March ,are contradicted by FAA claims that no final decision has been made on whether this route will be implemented.
The group’s goal is to establish a fair and equitable distribution of flight path burden across all Logan-area communities through the collection of citizen input from as many Milton residents as possible, data analysis of scientific reports, expert investigation and collaboration with elected and appointed officials.
All are welcome and encouraged to attend this important forum for coordinated action that will address the impact of aviation traffic, particularly noise and air pollution, on our town and our quality of life.
