Watch out for mosquitoes! Wear long sleeves! Use insect repellent! Check your window screens!

The MHS Walk-a-thon to support school activities that will be taking place this Saturday @ 3:00PM at the high school rain or shine, NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT . . .
How? Well, a couple ways. First, sponsor a student walker. If you don’t know one, go up to the school Saturday and find one. Trust me, there will be someone who would be glad to have YOU as a sponsor for, say, $10.0 0r whatever amount you are comfortable with.
Or – can you bake? Of course you can! The various activity advocacy groups have been asked to coordinate a bake sale. These groups include FAME (music), FAVA (visual arts), Drama, and the Boosters (sports). So make some cupcakes, cookies or muffins etc (ideally, nut free) and bring them up to the school and drop them off between 2:00 and 3:00.
No one is happy about the financial situation we find ourselves in; but it is what it is. These are our kids, our schools, and our town. Please show your support!
For five months, people had to pay more, simply because they got sick or hurt at the wrong time.
Now, Milton Hospital officials said they no longer charge emergency room patients an extra $30 for coming in from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. (Read the full story here.)
Milton’s defense was tough through almost all 90 minutes.
The first half ended tied at 0-0. In the second half Milton went up 1-0 when the Natick goalie failed to gather the ball. And amid a fair amount of pandemonium in front of the net; Milton pounded it in.
It appeared Milton was about to notch it’s first victory when in the 87th minute, Natick got a breakaway and scored the equalizer. Somewhat rattled, the wheels on the Milton defense, which had been strong, began to wobble. They couldn’t settle the ball and their play was somewhat frantic. Natick pressured but the clock ran out.
The boys varsity soccer team will be taking on Natick at home tonight at Brooks field at 7:15. The girls varsity volleyball team will go up against Newton North at home on Wednesday at the Copeland Field House.
The football team is playing Needham this Friday night in Needham.

Boston isn’t known as the most bicycle-friendly city. It’s been ranked not once, not twice, but three times as one of the worst places in the country to ride a bike.
But now the city is trying to change its reputation. And it plans to do that by — guess what? — putting more bikes on the city’s streets.
The only thing worse than shelling out $30, $40 or $50 to fill up your tank, is finding out it would have been cheaper if you had enough cash on you. It’s an issue that has touched a nerve lately on wbztv.com with several people posting on our curiosity page.
Troubles continued to mount for the MBTA tonight as two fires forced the evacuation of hundreds of riders and shut down at least three T stations leading to chaos for travelers throughout the city.
