The planning board met last thursday evening, as has approved the go ahead for the planned development at 36 Central Avenue in Milton.

Art: A bunny to watch out for
This is the third in a series of art works from students of FAVA (The Friends and Advocates for the Visual Arts). This week’s work is an illustration of a Comic Book cover. Tomas Gustafson a Glover 3rd grader is the artist. He attended the FAVA workshop “inking COMICs.”

Tom Steele, VP and Regulatory Council for RCN and Attorney, Steve W. Wells, representing Abrey Partners, Inc sat before the Board of Selectmen last night to outline the proposed license transfer of RCN to Abrey Partners Inc.
MPS Bullying policy updated and public
There has been a great deal of attention on the issue of bullying. The legislature recently passed laws with specific requirements that towns need to follow. Police and school departments both have specific guidelines to follow.
The Milton Schools in what now looks like a prescient move, formed a committee last year that was chaired by Alan Cron, Assistant Principal at the High School. The policy that came out of that committees work has been posted to the school’s web site. You can find it here.
Island windmill draws questions
Another wind mill is being contemplated for the south shore according to a recent story on Boston.com. The ongoing gulf oil spill and the incredible challenges it has presented in terms of the clean up and restoration have renewed focus on all energy initiatives.
Here in Milton the town is in process of planning for construction of a wind turbine on town land that abuts the Granite Links golf course.
