CONGRATULATIONS to the twenty-nine elementary and middle school students from the Milton Public Schools (pictured below) who successfully auditioned and were selected to be participants in the 2015 Massachusetts All-State Chorus.
The Milton Public Library’s teen book club has selected The Maze Runner by James Dashner and A Dip in the Ocean: Rowing Solo Across the Indian by Sarah Outen (YA pick in honor of Milton Reads 2015) as its April pick. Join the book club at 7 p.m. on Monday April 6 in the teen room for discussion, snacks, and to say your farewells to Miss Amy.

The second annual Run Milton half marathon has been rescheduled to take place on Sunday, Oct. 4. 2015. The race will start at 8 a.m. at 525 Canton Avenue in Milton. (Read the full story here.)
Yesterday’s Boston Globe had a front page story that referenced the St Rock clinic in Haiti. St. Agatha’s Parish here in Milton holds benefits for this clinic which does important work in a neglected part of the world. You can read the full story here.

At last week’s meeting of the Milton School Committee Assistant Superintendent for Business Glenn Pavlicek said that the budget put together by Governor Baker would send ~$250,000 Milton’s way in terms of Chapter 70 (Education) funding.

Hello fellow Milton residents, my name is Kevin Donahue and I am running for a position on the School Committee. I am a graduate of Milton High School, and this fall will mark the beginning of my second trip through the Milton Public School system; this time as a parent, with all the associated hopes and dreams.

It was a thrilling weekend for Milton’s Pee Wee A Team as they represented our community at the State Championship at Loring Arena in Framingham. Milton went in with high expectations and didn’t disappoint in the Round Robin format that included 10 teams.
