Milton Rotary Youth Programs Informational Meeting

Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 1:30 PM to 3 PM, The Milton Rotary Club will be presenting an informational meeting about Rotary International’s programs for students and youth at the Milton Public Library, 476 Canton Avenue.

Halloween at the Museum

At this family friendly event we hear stories about animals that go “bump” in the night, but which stories are just make-believe? Discover some of the truths about nighttime animals as we share a Halloween party with our visitors. Meet the owls that call Trailside home, as well as (friendly) snakes and our resident Raven.

Final Master Plan Forums

There will be two final open houses for the public to give input on the Master Plan. They are scheduled for Sunday, October 19 from 1-4pm at Fuller Village on Brush Hill Road and October 25 from 1-4pm in the Keys Community Room at the Milton Public Library.

Fundraiser for Prevention and Rehabilitation/ Opiate Addictions

Are you interested in helping to fight the opiate epidemic that is ruining our communities and families? MPS Program Puts Scientists in Elementary Classrooms

The Milton Public Schools have partnered with Science from Scientists, an acclaimed program which sends scientists into elementary school classrooms to work with students.

This program was piloted in the Cunningham and Collicot Grade 5 classrooms last year, with funding provided by the Milton Foundation for Education.

Friends of Crane Field to host 2nd annual neighborhood celebration

At the last regular meeting of the Milton Rotary Club on October 8th Michael Maholchic, spokesman for the Friends of Crane Field, reported that $10,000 worth of tree work, a new flag, a freshly painted flagpole, and a second annual neighborhood celebration are in the works due to the efforts of the Friends.

Family Owl Prowl

Explore the world of owls in this program for ages 6 and up. Discover some of the unique adaptations of owls, practice owl calls and meet some of the museum’s resident owls before going on a night hike to search for owls and other nocturnal life.
