Recently, Representative, Walter F. Timilty, attended the ground -breaking ceremony for the “Fallen Heroes Memorial”. The sole purpose of this memorial will be to honor the sons and daughters of the commonwealth of Massachusetts who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving with great distinction in our armed forces in the Global War on Terror.

Commenting on this profound occasion, Representative Timilty stated: “It was a solemn privilege to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the Fallen Heroes Memorial in the Seaport District, honoring Massachusetts’s men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our great nation in the Global War on Terrorism, since September 11th, 2001. Principally, the main theatres of operation for the Global War on Terrorism that we, as a nation, have been engaged in have been Iraq and Afghanistan. Moreover, it was an honor to support our Gold- Star Families, as they commemorated the ultimate sacrifices that their loved-ones have made in defense of our nation.”
