Firefighters battled a ferocious blaze at a historic house at 302 Adams Street in Milton.
A huge plume of smoke was visible from the Southeast expressway late Thursday morning and Milton town officials were warning people with asthma and other respiratory illnesses that the air quality near the fire was poor. (Read the full story here.)

The Board of Selectmen had a lengthy session on 8/5 during which they heard about an hour of testimony during Citizen’s Speak from residents who voiced their concerns about the DCR’s proposed extension of the bike path / walkway from Central Avenue to Mattapan Square.
It is an especially interesting election season for the Milton Democratic Town Committee (MDTC). Not only are there some key offices up but Milton has recently become a hotbed for political candidates. Here is a quick rundown:
