McEttrick to bow off Board of Selectmen – who’s up?

Anyone with an active interest in local Milton politics has been asking for some time: What will Marion McEttrick do? Yesterday, as reported in yesterday’s Milton Times, Ms. McEttrick answered that question. She has chosen not to seek re-election to the Board of Selectmen this spring.

Dealing with threat of roof collapse

Mtg notes: Selectmen 02.03.11 – Stoughton RFP changes complete; town audit reviewed

At last night’s Selectmen’s meeting the board put the finishing touches on the RFP for the Governor Stoughton land. The board brought closure to one key outstanding issue, the length of the lease. The land may be purchased outright or leased. If leased, the selectmen agreed on an initial 20 year lease with an option to renew for another 10 years  assuming the lessee is not in default and of good standing.

Snow plow can’t take down Dino the beagle of Milton

Dino, a five-month-old Beagle puppy, is recovering nicely at the MSPCA’s Angell Animal Medical Center from injuries he sustained when he was hit by a snowplow in Milton last week. (Read teh full story here.)
