Today is election day. You can find sample ballots on the Town Clerk’s web site. If you are not sure what precinct you are in you can find that out out here. Polls are open until 8:00pm.
DON’T OVERLOOK QUESTION 1 – it appears at the bottom of the ballot. You could easily miss it.
The Milton Board of Health is thrilled to announce that it has secured a three-year grant from the Blue Hills Community Health Alliance to support the work of the town’s newly-established Milton Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (“Coalition”). The grant, entitled MiltonCares, is in the amount of $110,000.00.

Three students from the Pierce Middle School attended the Massachusetts Region V Science & Engineering Fair on Saturday, April 25 at Regis College in Weston, MA, a regional fair for students in southeastern Massachusetts. Two of the students in attendance were winners of the Pierce Science Fair.

The 3rd annual town wide candiate swearing-in ceremony will take place on Wednesday, April 29th at 6:00PM at the Gazebo at Town Hall.
The Board of Selectmen will be meeting on Wednesday, April 29 in the Cronin Conference Room at Town Hall at 7:30. The agenda includes but is not limited to reorganization of the board, extensions of the demo agreement for 0 Central Ave and Curry College management of Ulin Rink, and meeting with Chair of Fire Space Needs Committee. It is rare for this site to recommend a vote, but this is an exceptional instance. Tomorrow, Milton voters will be going to the polls (or should be) and in addition to casting votes for Selectmen, School Committee, Library Trustee, etc., there is a question on the ballot. We recommend a yes vote on that question which would authorize a tax override to fund the ongoing health care of a firefighter injured in the line of duty.

The Neponset River Greenway– Blue Hill Avenue to Central Avenue is the continuation of a bike path/walkway to complete a public access corridor along coastline, marsh and the riverbank from Castle Island in South Boston to the Neponset Valley Parkway in Hyde Park.
