NOTICE: The Milton Board of Health is postponing the Seasonal Flu Clinics

The Milton Board of Health is postponing the 10/22 and 10/27 Seasonal Flu Clinics scheduled for Cunningham Park and the Council On Aging

PRESS RELEASE: Milton Board of Health

The Milton Board of Health is postponing the Seasonal Flu Clinics scheduled for October 22nd at Cunningham Park and October 27th at the Council On Aging due to delays associated with the distribution of the vaccine from the manufacturers.

While we do not have a definite date at this time, we anticipate rescheduling these clinics in late November or early December. As the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Center for Disease Control have assured us, there is an abundant supply of seasonal flu vaccine this year, it is just delayed. Ample time remains to be vaccinated against seasonal flu as influenza disease does not typically peak in Massachusetts until February.
We ask you to please monitor the local news media (newspapers and cable television) as well as the towwebsite for updated information. Please also monitor these same sources for information regardH1N1 vaccinations which are expected to begin in late November or early December as well. For aother questions, please call the Board of Health at 617-898-4886.
