  • Well done to Philippe Javier, John “Jack” Callow and Mitterrand Meatier – All three of these 8th grade students are candidates for President of the Student Council. They did a magnificent job with their speeches during grade 8 lunches. Good luck to all! Thank you to Owen McElhinney for organizing the speeches and this event.
  • Voting takes place today! – Today during the grade 8 history classes, students will vote for the Student Council President, Vice president and Secretary for the 8th grade. All votes will be tallied during period F and the votes from period G will be added to total. All “Elected Officials” will be announced at the end of the day on Friday. Good luck to all candidates and thank you for your ongoing support.
  • Picture Retakes – The date for the Picture retakes is scheduled for Thursday, November 5th at 8:00AM.

  • Student ID’s – Please remind all students that they must wear their students ID at all times while in the building. If they do not have their student ID they will begin to serve a detention. If a student loses his/her ID, they can get a replacement ID from the main office for $5.00. Thank you for your help with this initiative.

  • The cold weather has arrived! – Please remind students to dress warmly when coming to school. They should be encouraged to bring a sweater or sweatshirt as they will NOT be allowed to wear jackets while in the building.
  • Family Literacy Night will be held on Thursday, October 29th from 6:45PM to 8:30PM. –  The night will consist of a fantastic performance by guest poet, Sarah Holbrook, breakout sessions that address multiple aspects of student engagement in text, and a 600 title book fair. A detailed event schedule will be coming soon.
