St. Agatha’s 6th grade Basketball team

St. Agatha’s 6th grade boy’s basketball team. recently defeated St. Mary’s of Winchester 52 to 48 to become the EMASS CYO Champs! They advance to the New England CYO Tournament to be held in Providence, RI on March 29th.
The team is ably coached by Rile Rhodes and Matt Regan. Good luck on the 29th guys!

Milton High School Mock Trial Team Concludes Great Season

Milton High School’s Mock Trial team recently concluded their season with a strong showing at the Framingham Court House on February 4th. The team scored 100 points – a season high – during the mock trial. The civil trial was a wrongful death suit, in which the family of a man who was killed doing an airplane stunt sued the airplane’s manufacturer.

Reminder: FAME Bottle and Can drive

FAME’s Bottle & Can Drive onSaturday, February 8, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the entrance to Milton High School. Proceeds from the collection go to FAME’s funding of college scholarships and support for music programs in the Milton schools.

Run for Red Nation

wildcat_pawMilton High is not hosting its annual Walk-a-Thon this year. In its absence, a senior student, Brendan Hunt, has created the Run for Red Nation. This 5k fun run/walk holds the same purpose of the Walk-a-Thon- to raise money to benefit Milton High School’s sports, clubs, and activities.

Milton Public School Art Students Recognized

The Milton Public Schools are proud to announce that 19 students at Milton High School have been named winners of the 2014 Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards. Thousands of student submissions from across the state were judged by a panel from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Four players score in 27-13 Milton win over Braintree

With Thursday’s 27-13 win, Milton has made it back-to-back victories in its Thanksgiving rivalry with Braintree.
That’s no small feat, considering that the Wildcats hadn’t forged a winning streak in the series since capturing five straight from 1997-2001. (Read the full story here.)

Cross-Country Team Seeking ‘Cans for Cats’

 

The next Milton High School Boosters “Cans for Cats” can & bottle recycling drive will be held on Saturday, December 7th, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Milton High School. The girls cross-country team will be at the front entrance of the high school, 25 Gile Road, to collect your 5 cent cans and bottles to redeem them for cash. All funds earned will support their program. Please stop by and support your Wildcats with your can donations. Go Wildcats!

 

Karen Cahill to be new Director of Guidance at MHS

Karen Cahill has been hired as the new Director of Guidance for Milton High School.

Ms. Cahill has been with the Milton Public Schools since 1993. She began her career at the Pierce Middle School where she served as both a math teacher and later a guidance counselor. She then moved to Milton High School where she has served as a guidance counselor since 2009. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College, a Master of Counseling degree from UMass/Boston;
