Milton High School football rallies for win from The Patriot Ledger

A rotten start didn’t spoil the Wildcats’ night.

In a room at Police Headquarters filled to the gills the Traffic Commission heard from residents impatient with the lack of progress on safety and traffic mitigation measures at two locations.

Special Town Meeting preview to broadcast on MATV

We sat down with three town officials: Marion McEttrick, Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, Alex Whitesside, Chairman of the Planning Board, and Ewan Innes, Chairman of the Warrant Committee, to discuss the articles on the warrant for next week’s town meeting. Rich Hill’s Milton family on top of the world for Boston Red Sox pitcher

Rich Hill and his dad, former Quincy High School principal Lloyd Hill Sr., got to Gillette Stadium in Foxboro early last Sunday, well before the start of pregame warmups by the Patriots and Bengals. Lloyd Hill Sr. is a serious football fan, having played at Brown University many years ago where one of his buddies was a teammate named Joe Paterno. (Read the full story here.)

Brookline boys cross country besat Milton, Wellesley

Although its Bay State Conference winning streak is now in its sixth straight season and counting, coach Mike Glennon’s squad has run into some close calls along the way. The Warriors were challenged once again in their season’s opening tri-meet versus Milton and Wellesley at Houghton’s Pond on Sept. 14. Brookline easily defeated the hometown Marauders, 15-49, but the Raiders hung tough before Brookline picked up a 24-35 victory. (Read the full story here.)
