Randolph reps look for Warren backing in air traffic fight

Rep. Walter Timilty, D–Milton, recently convened a meeting with the other two legislators who represent Randolph – Mark Cusack, D-Braintree, and Bruce Ayers, D-North Quincy – and representatives from Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s Office to voice the Randolph delegation’s opposition to the FAA’s proposed adjustment to departures from Runway 33L at Logan International Airport. (Read the full story here.)

Reminder: Milton Animal League to hold vaccination clinic

The Milton Animal League will be holding a rabies vaccination clinic on Saturday, April 6th at the Atherton St. Fire Station, Route 138 in Milton.  Cats will be vaccinated from 10 am to 11:30 am; cats must be in carriers.  Dogs will be vaccinated from 11:30 am to 1:00 PM; dogs must be on leashes.

350th to give Milton the time of day & . . . more fireworks?

Screen Shot 2013-03-10 at 10.15.07 AMAt the recent Selectmen’s meeting Emma Jean Moulton appeared before the selectmen to discuss a legacy gift the 350th Committee would like to bestow on the town as “something tangible to show our continuing love for the town”. The suggestion is a street clock. Two clocks, actually, one would be in East Milton and the other at Central & Eliot. The selectmen love the idea.

In response to record breaking storms Nemo and Sandy lashing the Northeast these last few months, 80% of households across America and here in Milton now accept that global warming is a serious problem. Most americans believe that government should play a major role in taking action.

Annmarie Fagan appointed Town Admistrator

In the end the Milton Board of Selectmen found the new town administrator in town hall. Annmarie Fagan, who has been the interim town administrator for the past 8 months, was unanimously elected by the Board of Selectmen to become the official town administrator. In discussing the appointment each of the board members revealed that they had independently selected her as their first choice

Temple Shalom concludes film series with “A Separation”

“A Separation,” the concluding film in this season’s Winter Movie Series of Temple Shalom of Milton, co-sponsored this year by the First Congregational Church and First Parish Church, will be screened on Saturday evening, March 16th at 7:45 p.m., with doors opening at 7:00.
