There are many people in this town that have a passion and channel that passion to the improvement of the community. Jess Gillooly is one of those people. An artist by training and art educator, Ms. Gillooly is the driver behind a program called “Meet the Artists” (MTA) which delivers enhanced art enrichment to public elementary students throughout Milton.
Madden named Coach of the Year; Butlin a soccer all-star
This year Milton High School boys soccer coach Mike Madden won the Eastern Mass division 2 coach of the year award. Roy Butlin a senior on the team won Eastern Mass all star honors. Roy will play in the all star game and Coach Madden will receive his award Friday November 23 at Quincy’s Vererans Stadium.

The Last Chapter of Milton Reads! 2012 closes with community celebration
Milton Reads! 2012 closed out its inaugural program last Thursday night with a comunity event that included readings, song, and a talk by US Attorney Carmen Ortiz. Mitlton Reads! selected To Kill a Mockingbird as the selection for this one Book, one town initiative which engaged the community in a shared cultural experience: reading a book together.
