Two local runners’ happiness about their finishing times quickly vanished

For Justin Renz of Milton and Mark Maggi of Cohasset, the excitement of setting personal bests at the Boston Marathon quickly turned to anguish and anxiety after a pair of bombs exploded near the finish line on Boylston Street just before 3 p.m., forcing the race to be suspended. Dig into your recycling bin and create a unique piece of art. Let your imagination go wild! Students are encouraged to create works of art using recycled materials. bring your work to our Earth Day Celebration at Turner’s Pond on Sunday April 21, 1:00 Pm. Prizes will be awarded for creativity!

Update: Milton neighbors ‘on edge’ after a fatal stabbing

Police are still investigating a stabbing that left a Milton man dead and residents in a usually quiet neighborhood apprehensive. (Read the full story here.) The Zullas campaign has postponed an event they had scheduled for this evening, April 16th, in light of yesterday’s events.

Milton runners in Boston Marathon & notice from MPD

Click read more for times of Milton runners in Boston Marathon who finished prior to explosions. You can go to BAA.org to search for individual runners. Runners who had not finished the race and were west of Mass Ave were directed directed to Kenmore Square. Whiteside, Hamilton and the future of the Planning Board

In 1986 Alex Whiteside was elected to the Milton Planning Board. He is up for re-election. He has run for re-election 5 times in the last 27 years and, according to Town Reports, never been opposed – until now. And that is not the half of it.

Homicide on Hudson Street

There was a homicide in the Hudson Street area of Milton last night.

Police report that at approximately 10pm on April 14th, the deceased, Jordon Baskin, 22, of 84 Hudson Street, was stabbed. They believe it may have bee near his residence and that he made his way home where he was found by a family member. He was taken to BID Milton Hospital where he died of his injuries.
