I am asking for your vote to become a Town Meeting member because I want to promote appropriate scaled growth while preserving Milton’s character. There are pockets of commercial areas in our town that can be refreshed and expanded to attract new local businesses, bring new amenities to our community, and provide a much needed boost to our commercial tax base.

In my professional life, I am Vice President of Leasing & Asset Management at Linear Retail Properties, a developer of convenience and boutique real estate in the Greater Boston area. I focus on rehabilitating existing product to bring it to its highest and best potential throughout New England. I strive to honor the importance of municipal planning and respect for a town’s character while understanding the practical realities of small business needs in each of my properties.

I am a member of the Urban Land Institute, where among other things I facilitate economic classes in urban high schools by judging an urban planning contest. I also chair the government relations committee of New England for the International Council of Shopping Centers. I graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where I spent four years as an educational and recreational supervisor at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of St. Joseph’s County in South Bend, IN.

My partner and I moved to Milton to enjoy the town’s history, open space and unique character. We renovated a historic farm house in the tenth district that was owned by only two prior families in its 170 year history. I look forward to representing District 10’s interest in preserving the history and character of Milton while bringing appropriate, scaled and much needed convenience, amenities, and commercial revenue to our town.

I appreciate your vote on April 30th.
