Today – fun race, good cause! Today is the 2nd Annual M.A.D. Scramble Five Mile Road Race. You can register before the raceThe race will be run on the evening of July 1st, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Pierce Middle School in Milton.
The “Scramble” is a scenic multi-terrain event that is run on roads as well as the gravel paths, trails, and open fields hugging Turner’s Pond and the Pine Tree & Trout Brook areas.
The family and friends of Milton police Detective Michael Devin, who died in a car accident in 2006, are holding a road race to honor him and raise money for the Detective Michael A. Devin Memorial Fund. The Detective Michael A. Devin Memorial Fund benefits Milton children and town programs.
In addition to awards for the top finishers male and female, and the top three male and female in six age divisions, all runners will be automatically entered into a raffle with 20+ chances to win. Barbequed hamburgers and hot dogs and other post race refreshments will be served.
Runners who pre-register by June 15th will receive a “Run M.A.D.- Be Happy” t-shirt. You may register online at www.coolrunning.com or mail your form to 94 Antwerp St, Milton, MA 02186 (Click here).
