At last night’s school committee meeting a parent expressed concerns regarding the transparency of the lottery process the school followed. To address those concerns Ms. Gormley, Superintendent of Schools, stated that the lottery info (Student’s initials and lottery number) would be posted on the school web site.
In a letter to Milton School parents and guardians the superintendent, upon further review, has revised that decision and the administration will be sending out a mailing to “Each student whose name was entered into the lottery and was not selected for the French Immersion Program in their home school will receive a letter that will indicate the number they were chosen in the lottery and the total number of names that were entered in the lottery.”
