Mac D’Alessandro, the Milton resident and Democratic candidate for Congress from Massachusetts’ 9th district, has appointed Deborah Shah to be his campaign manager. Shah has been involved in a number or recent Democratic races that have resulted in victories.
In 2006 Shah was a Regional Field Director for the Deval Patrick for Governor campaign. She took 62 of the 65 precincts for which she was responsible. She later served as campaign manager for Anthony Petruccelli’s successful run for state Senate. In 2008 Shah was as an organizer for the Hillary Clinton for President campaign in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and Texas and went on to serve as campaign manager for the successful state Senate campaign of Sonia Chang-Díaz, who unseated a sixteen-year incumbent. In 2009, Shah was Setti Warren’s campaign manager when he won the Newton mayor’s race. Most recently, Shah served as Deputy Campaign Manager for Operations for Governor Deval Patrick’s re-election campaign.
Shah had this to say: “I am thrilled to join Mac D’Alessandro’s energetic campaign to provide the 9th district with effective representation. Mac’s candidacy gives voters a thoughtful, progressive, experienced choice who understands their needs and the challenges they face.”
“Deborah brings an outstanding record of political success and working on behalf of the Democratic values we all share,” said D’Alessandro. “I am happy to have her managing my campaign, which will focus on the issues that matter to all of us, from holding health insurance companies and Wall Street accountable to creating good-paying jobs and protecting our civil rights.”
