Town meeting has approved a special disability pension for a Milton firefighter gravely injured while on duty.

Under the proposal, which now goes to the state Legislature for approval, Firefighter Antonio Pickens of Brockton will receive a tax-free disability pension equal to his full base pay. (read full story)
