Christine Sullivan, longtime Director of the Forbes House Museum, stepping aside

A letter arrived in the mail boxes of patrons of the Forbes House Museum this week from Mary Wendell, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The contents made a surprise announcement. Christine Sullivan, longtime director, was stepping aside and a search has been opened for a new director.

Ms. Wendell writes, “Chris and the Board believe the Forbes House is now ready for new leadership, as we take the next step in its growth and development. The entire Forbes House Museum community is hugely indebted to Chris for all she has done for the museum!”

Ms. Sullivan has been the driving force behind the museum for the last ten years. The Board has engaged Marilyn Hoffman of Museum Search and Reference to assis them in the process of recruiting a new director. Sullivan will remain with the Museum focusing on programs that the museum hosts.

The Board invite the public to submit names for consideration. You can email them at info@forbeshousemuseum.org.
