The re-development of the path around Turner’s Pond has begun.
Construction crews have blocked off access to the north side of the pond (the side to your left as you enter from Central Avenue; to your right if you enter by Glover School). This is the marshy side of the pond. The plan is to complete that with gravel similar to what is in the parking area today; then block off the south side and repave that with a crushed stone mix. Walkers et all will continue to have access on at least one side throughout construction.
The construction is estimated to take four weeks, weather permitting. You can find our earlier post on the status of the path here.
