Notice from Town Hall
The Board of Selectmen invites members of the public to participate in a meeting about the Town’s response to the Winter 2015 snow emergency. The Board of Selectmen, the Town Administrator, the heads of our public safety departments (Public Works, Police and Fire) and representatives of Milton’s Local Emergency Planning Committee will listen to the concerns and comments of residents. We encourage residents to share, in a constructive manner, their experiences, suggestions and questions.
The Board and the Town’s management have begun to consider changes to public safety operations and communication between Town government and residents in emergency situations such as the one we experienced this past winter. The April 23 public meeting is an important step in the process. Please note that, if a large number of residents wish to speak, the Board may limit the amount of time in which each speaker may deliver comments. The Board will not entertain any personal comments or political comments. The session is intended to inform the Board’s and Town management’s subsequent discussions and to produce constructive solutions.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, April 23, beginning at 7:00 pm at the Senior Center (COA), 10 Walnut Street. All are welcome to attend and/or participate.
A regular meeting of the Board of Selectmen will follow this public meeting.
