Another example of the risks and challenges of being in law enforcement

This morning on Franklin St. in East Milton, a Mountain Bike officer assigned to specialized patrol was conducting enforcement measures. While at this location, a vehicle operated by a 26yo Quincy man suddenly revved his engine and drove directly a the officer who was crossing the street on foot. The officer narrowly escaped being struck.
Additional officers responded and the subject was stopped. He was arrested for Operating Recklessly to Endanger, Assault by Means of a Dangerous a Weapon (MV) and Failure to Stop. He has been released on $5000 bail and will be arraigned in Quincy District Court on Monday.

    Odd that the police department has removed the Facebook post about this incident. The eye witness commented on the post and announced that the police version of events had been grossly exaggerated. That is a problem. Perhaps an explanation will be given to as to why it was removed if it were not anything but accurate.
