Talented Milton High School artist Michael Wyatt has been named a National Medalist in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and was awarded a National Gold Key, which is the highest honor the program gives out.
Michael Wyatt, a junior at Milton High School, was recognized in the Drawing & Illustration category. Michael and his family have been invited to an award ceremony in New York City on June 11th. Wyatt’s national recognition puts him in the top 1% of the 300,000 students who submitted work. This prestigious competition is sponsored by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers.
“We are very proud of Michael,” said Milton High School Art Teacher Kassandra Aloe.”Although he has incredible natural talent, he works very hard. We are very happy that his artwork has been recognized and will be displayed as part of a national program.”
Michael’s submission to the contest was a large multi-media print entitled “Street Art Portrait.”
