Goodbye to All That
In the great outdoors
There was a ton of snow
And streets full of ice
And a parade of
snow plows at quite a price
And there were ice dams galore draining onto the floor
And too much gliding
And too much sliding
And my God it was cold
I felt so old
Neither shovel nor snow blower could deal with the slush
And many an official screamed “This is too much!”
Goodbye snow fields
Goodbye ice
Goodbye snow plows (at what price!?!)
Goodbye to sliding
And goodbye to gliding
Goodbye cold
Goodbye shovels
Goodbye National Guard
And goodbye front loaders rumbling down the road
Goodbye ice damns!
Goodbye rock salt
Goodbye to slipping
And goodbye to chipping
Goodbye stupid roof rake
And goodbye parking bans
Goodbye blowers
And goodbye closings
Goodbye slush
And goodbye to flinches hearing we’ll get 12 more inches
Goodbye icicles
Goodbye snow
Goodbye winter it’s time to go
Wonderful, Frank! Great job..,
