Food notes: Artspace Milton @ ester; Italian specials; Irish music on the way and more

Here is a quick run down of local food events and happenings. Regardless of what or where you eat, enjoy your week end.

Join Artspace Milton for a Family Night Out @ ester on Sunday, March 8th @ 4p. Children learn the legend of the leprechaun through stories and create a captured leprechaun in a jar, with instructors Karen Hainline and Janet Gilmore. Learn more here.

Abby Park invites you to join them after the South Boston St Patrick’s Day Parade on Sunday March 15, 2015 to hear Boston’s Erin Og playing live Irish Music from 2-6pm.

Every Thursday this winter you can enjoy a weekly Italian specialty at 88 Wharf with a glass of chianti or pinot grigio for just $15.99 and add a dinner Caesar for another 2.99. Not bad.

The there is the (over?)hyped hamburger chain that began as a cart in New York, the Shake Shack, has opened in Dedham’s Legacy Place. If you are in that area you might want to check it out. Closer to home is Bred Gourmet in Lower Mills which is well worth a stop.

If you like Legacy Place, you will probably love University Station. It is going to be even bigger! And there will e plenty of places to eat. You can find a list of restaurants and tentative opening dates here.
