A couple more storm weather tips

Make sure any vents from your house to outside (e.g. dryer) are clear of snow.

The Milton Police Dept  Communications will continue to facilitate 4×4 shuttle rides for medical staff of BID Milton, Carney and Quincy ED. Please call MPD communications at 617-698-3800. There were 35 staff transported today, so call early so we can get you on a list.

The MPD also strongly recommend that joggers and walkers where bright clothing for safety.

Flat roofs are a danger with the weight from the snow. The Fire Dept reported a collapsed pool house roof last Sunday. But be careful. In off chance you are unaware of it, there is a Facebook Page “Milton Neighbors” that is a great resource for tips and referrals for your neighbors and friends.

Roads remain slick. If you have to go out, please use extreme care.

And lastly, please work with your neighbors to ensure hydrants are clear of snow. There was a house fire on Wolcott Road last night. The MFD report:

Great job by Group 1 and especially Engine 4 for the quick knockdown. A huge thanks to the DPW for helping dig out the fire hydrant that was buried in snow. Also thanks to Fallon’s and MPD. Great work all around!
