Our goal is to keep the students in the Town of Milton safe and clean!
?A Chemical Health & Awareness Night will be held for students, parents/guardians and coaches on Monday, November 24th at 6:30pm in the Charles Winchester auditorium. ?This is an event for all parents/guardians who have a student at Milton High School. Our goal is to share with you preventative measures, signs to watch for and resources to access if needed. Some of the topics will include:
1. Underage Drinking
2. Marijuana Use
3. E-Cigarettes (Vaping)
4. Chewing Tobacco
5. Steroid Use
6. Dangers of opiates and so much more
Having a open and honest discussion and bringing awareness to these issues, is a priority of the Milton High School’s administration. Please see: Chemical Health Awareness Night Flyer
?Milton Police Chief Richard Wells will be in attendance, along with Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey, ADA Jennifer Rowe and David Morgan. Please see the bios below on our guests:
?Michael Morrissey was recently re-elected to his second term as Norfolk District Attorney. After serving in the Massachusetts legislature for 34 years, he is now the Chief Law Enforcement Officer in Norfolk County. DA Morrissey provided the training and resources needed to form Milton’s Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition which met for the first time earlier this month.
?Jennifer Rowe became a prosecutor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts 20 years ago. She has served as Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County, and for the past 10 years has served as a Norfolk County prosecutor. Her caseload has involved complex narcotics cases, motor vehicle homicides, sexual assaults, civil rights violations, domestic violence and firearms violations. She was the Deputy Chief of District Courts prior to her selection by DA Morrissey to serve as the Director of the Crime Prevention Unit.
?David Morgan is a pharmacist with 30 years of experience. He served as Director, Outpatient Pharmacies for Boston Medical Center, Adjunct Faculty at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy, served on DPH’s Medical Review Group, served as the Chairman of the American Pharmaceutical Association and Chairman of the Board of the Massachusetts Pharmacist Association. He was selected by DA Morrissey to serve as the Safe prescribing Consultant for Norfolk County.
