Cosplay is coming to Milton tomorrow! Cosplay is a kind of costume play, in which participants called cosplayers wear costumesand fashion accessories to represent a specific character or a concept. For their inspiration, cosplayers usually use manga and anime, comic books and cartoons, video games, and live-action films. But they might do just about anything!
Cosplay 2014 Fashion Show is coming to the Milton Public Library this Thursday, October 30th –the day before Hallowe’en–at 6 PM. The Cosplay Fashion Show features a variety of performers, and everybody is welcome.
Teens, you are invited to register to walk the runway dressed up as your favorite character from a video game, movie, book, manga or anime. You will be judged on creativity, accuracy, craftmanship, and overall audience response to the piece. Prizes will be given to first, second and third place.
To register to participate or see the rules, either contact Miss Amy (Rosa) the young adults librarian at the Milton Public Library. She’ll be the one in a bright red wig. Or go online http://www.miltonlibrary.org/teen.asp
And if you don’t choose to walk the runway, come anyway to cheer on your friends and enjoy the Hallowe’en refreshments. Costumes optional!
