News release from the Milton Historical Society
Brian Doherty, President of The Milton Historical Society, is proud to announce that a contract has been signed with Jonathan Green and his fiancée Emma Sevigny to be resident caretakers at the Suffolk Resolves House at 1370 Canton Avenue, Milton starting on August 1, 2014.
Jon has been Assistant Archivist and Digital Assets Manager at Stonehill College for the past four years and has also worked as an archivist in a nonprofit setting on his town’s historical commission. He also has 5 years of experience in exhibit development; and has done both graduate and undergraduate research on Colonial and Revolutionary America. During his tenure at Stonehill College he has researched, processed and developed a finding aid for the Daily Homestead Archaeology Collection, a group of 1,000+ artifacts dating to the mid-eighteenth century and has acted as docent for tours of collections at Stonehill. Jon is a 2015 candidate for a Masters Degree in History from UMass Boston.
Emma, who received her degree in Healthcare Administration at Stonehill College in 2010, is currently a Practice Coordinator in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, as well as a Medical Assistant at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates. She began pursuing her Masters Degree in Healthcare Administration at Suffolk University in 2012 and in her spare time enjoys playing tennis, running, and playing her clarinet and viola.
The recently engaged couple plan on marrying following the completion of their Masters studies.
