A recent article in the Boston Business Journal published a ranking of teachers’ salaries.  The median salary in the Commonwealth is ~$69,000, up $8,000 from the median five years earlier. The article reports:

The best paid teachers in the state, with an average annual salary of $95,947 in 2013, work in the Concord-Carlisle school district. Lincoln-Sudbury ranked second at $94,087 while Sherborn ranked third at $91,848. Not surprisingly, those communities also are home to many of the state’s wealthiest residents as well as some of the state’s top-performing school districts.
