Jeff Bauman was a marathon bombing victim. The story of his recovery has been inspiring and his courage is emblematic of the too many others hurt that day. Yesterday, Josh Haner of the Times won a Pulitizer Prize for his photography documenting Mr. Bauman’s struggle and strength (photos here.) Today the Boston Herald published a letter from Mr. Bauman. He writes:
It’s been a year since the bombing at our marathon, and I’m sure there will be many articles written about it and testimonials given and pictures shown. I don’t know that I have much to add, except for the one important thing that needs to be said, and which I’m not sure others will get around to saying: Thank you.
