This honor is based on scores from the 2012 PSAT. Less than one percent of those who took the PSATs qualified as Finalists. Mr. Caljouw will now be considered for one of 8,000 National Merit Scholarships, collectively worth nearly $35 million, for academically talented students.

Mr. Caljouw is an outstanding student who takes AP courses and is an integral part of the Milton High Debate Team. He was presented his Certificate of Merit by Milton High School Principal James Jette during school last week.

“Jack is an amazing young man who has worked diligently throughout his high school career,” said Mary Gormley, Superintendent of the Milton Public Schools. “Being named a National Merit Finalist is one of the many achievements we have come to expect from him. Congratulations to Jack and his family.”
