Screen Shot 2014-02-24 at 5.12.25 PMFontbonne Academy is pleased to announce that Katherine Comber, a member of the Class of 2014 and a resident of Milton, MA, has been named a Finalist in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Competition. This is the second year in a row that a Fontbonne Academy student has been named as a finalist in this national competition.

Katherine advanced from a group of nearly 370 Semi-Finalists in Massachusetts. She is one of only four semi-finalists in the state who currently attends an all-girls Catholic high school. Of the 1.5 million entrants identified at the beginning of this year’s National Merit Scholarship competition, finalists represent the top 1%, or 15,000, of all entrants who have demonstrated a high potential for future academic accomplishment through distinguished performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT) as well as excellent academic standing. All Finalists will be
considered for National Merit Scholarships to be offered in 2014.
