Update on Tucker situation

Notice from the Milton Police Department (from their Facebook page. You can “like” them on Facebook)

Good afternoon. First, please do not believe everything you read in the press.
There is an investigation taking place at Tucker School. Some information was discovered this morning specific to a general threat found in one area of the building. We have discovered that this information existed before today. The school initially had a “stay in place order” put into effect as part of our normal response protocol. They was no danger at any time and we always take any threats very seriously. MPD is continuing to interview any persons with possible knowledge of this threat. We are not releasing what was found, so please do not take the press accounts as factual. The school returned to normal operations within 30 minutes….No additional details will be released at this time. Thank you…

Following is our earlier account:

There was a lockdown at the Tucker elementary school earlier today. According to the MPD’s Facebook page:

Ongoing investigation relative to an incident at the Tucker school. Tucker School is operating normally. No concern for student safety at this time.

A menacing message had been found on a wall at the school. According to a brief post on Boston.com — Your Town Milton Denis Keohane, chair of the Board of Selectmen said the message threatened to kill everyone.

Now I am really confused. What is it we are not to believe in the press?
Did Mr.Keohane talk to the press and if he did, was he misquoted ? Then the Globe should apologies to Mr. Keohane and issue a retraction.
What was on the wall and why is it a secret ?
if the “information” existed before today, why was it still on the wall today ?
This update stirs up more questions than it provides answers
