St. Michael’s to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi with Annual Blessing of the Animals

In celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the Patron Saint of Animals, the Reverend Hall Kirkham of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church will visit the Milton Animal Shelter on Friday, October 4 and bless the many animals in need of families and homes. Reverend Kirkham will also deliver animal food and toys to the shelter, all donated by St. Michael’s parishioners.

On Sunday October 6, St. Michael’s will hold the annual Blessing of the Animals for parishioners and pet owners at 4pm in the Garden of Seasons adjacent to the church. Participants are invited to bring their pets – including cats, dogs, turtles, fish and guinea pigs – to receive a blessing of good health and well-being. Children can also bring their favorite stuffed animals and dolls to receive a blessing.
