On Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 2 PM, the Milton Public Library will host the dynamic blues and R&B band called “Part-Time Lovers” in a free one-hour concert held in the Keys Community Room (lower level). Named “Best Blues Band in Boston” by Boston Blues Society in 2000, the group is led by ace drummer Brian Kelley and includes the talented Berklee College of Music professor Craig Hlady on guitar, fellow faculty member Dave Clark on bass, and the always charismatic and entertaining Steve Matthews on vocals.
This band will knock your socks off with their rocking and danceable versions of great blues classics like, “The Thrill is Gone” and “Everyday I Have the Blues” by B.B. King, combined with sweet R&B ballads such as the Ray Charles Classic, “Georgia.” Part-Time Lovers is a very versatile and fun band that will have you singing along and wanting to get up and dance!
This program is free and open to the public, is appropriate for all ages, light refreshments will be served, and it is sponsored by The Friends of the Milton Public Library. For more information, contact the Reference Department at (617) 698-5757.
