Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Milton welcomes gynecologist and obstetrician, Alice Shin, M.D., to its medical staff.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Shin to the medical staff,” said Interim Chief Executive Officer, Doris A. Sinkevich. “Dr. Shin’s expertise will help form the cornerstone for women’s healthcare at BID-Milton.”
Dr. Shin will provide full-service OB/GYN care in Milton, with further obstetrical and labor and delivery services provided at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Shin is skilled in gynecological surgeries including open and minimally invasive surgeries using laparoscopic and robotic technologies, and has vast clinical experience in treating women’s health issues including fertility, uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis and menopause.
“I enjoy collaborating with each patient on the numerous medical issues unique to women and look forward to serving women’s health needs in the Milton community,” stated Dr. Shin. “I am committed to providing every patient with personalized obstetric and gynecologic care enhanced by the expertise and world-class resources of BIDMC.”
Before receiving her medical degree from Tulane University Medical School in Louisiana, Dr. Shin earned a degree in biology from Stanford University. She completed her residency training at Washington University, Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. In addition to being on staff at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and BID-Milton, Dr. Shin is an Instructor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Harvard Medical School.
