Notice from the Milton Police Department
THANK YOU,
We often tell you that each resident plays an important role with the Milton Police Department. In the past several days, there has been several residential break-ins . Each involved a Milton home. (3) occurred on Sunday afternoon. The suspect in this case was intercepted inside a Centre St, home by a resident. This victim gave MPD a great description and a general broadcast was put out to all police units in the area. Within minutes Massachusetts State Trooper Timothy Burns spotted the suspect car in East Milton getting on Rte., 93 north. The car was stopped and the man was identified as the offender. Subsequent investigation by Milton Detectives linked this Somerville man to multiple breaks in Milton.
On Tuesday, a home on Cabot St. was entered and items stolen. Based on information provided by a citizen that had seen a suspicious car in the area unrelated to the break, detectives were able to develop information that led to the arrest last night of a South Boston man for the break in on Cabot St.
So tonight we say “Thank you” for taking an interest in your community. Do not be alarmed by these crimes, they can happen anywhere. Take pride in your courage to pickup the telephone, and always LOCK YOUR HOME and CAR to avoid being a victim of such crimes…. and NEVER hesitate to call 911 when you see something suspicious in your neighborhood.
